The Central Library of Baselios Paulose Second College, Piramadom, serves as a vibrant learning resource center that supports the academic, research, and intellectual needs of students and faculty. Designed to promote a culture of reading and independent learning, the library provides access to a wide range of academic resources in a peaceful and technology-enabled environment.

The library is fully computerized and houses a rich collection of over 15,000 books covering diverse disciplines including Commerce, Computer Applications, Management Studies, Social Sciences, Languages, General Knowledge, and Competitive Examinations. In addition, the library subscribes to more than 50 journals, magazines, newspapers, and periodicals, ensuring that students remain informed about current developments and emerging trends.

The library functions under the supervision of Rev. Fr. Eljo Avarachan, who is committed to providing efficient library services and assisting students in their academic pursuits.

Library Rules & Regulations

Monday – Friday: 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM

To maintain a productive and disciplined learning environment, all users are requested to observe the following rules:

  • Students are encouraged to make regular use of the library to support their academic learning and research.
  • A valid College Identity Card is mandatory for entering the library and borrowing books.
  • Students must record their Name, Roll Number, and Class in the visitor register at the entrance.
  • Bags, luggage, and personal belongings should be kept outside the library.
  • Complete silence must be maintained within the library premises.
  • Newspapers, journals, magazines, and reference books are available for reading inside the library only.
  • Library users should carefully examine books before borrowing and immediately report any damage to the Librarian.
  • Writing, marking, folding pages, or damaging library materials is strictly prohibited.
  • Borrowed books must be returned or renewed on or before the due date.
  • Books may be renewed up to two times, provided they are not reserved by another user.
  • If a borrowed book is lost or damaged, the borrower must either replace it with the latest edition or pay the applicable replacement charges as per library policy.
  • Food and beverages are not permitted inside the library.
  • Library furniture, computers, and other equipment should not be moved or tampered with without permission.
  • The Librarian reserves the right to recall any issued book whenever necessary.
  • The library premises are monitored through CCTV surveillance to ensure the safety and security of all users.
